About this blog

Commitment to Living documents what I am learning, thinking, and teaching about assessment and response to suicide risk.

My aims are:

-to share ideas and discoveries that might be useful to other clinicians.
-to update colleagues who are working on projects with me about what I’m learning.
-to open early observations to examination and criticism by colleagues near and far

-to archive my thoughts, observations, and experiences with this project.
-to experiment with this venue of learning and knowledge-sharing as a complement to traditional (academic) venues.

In future posts, I will be fleshing out these aims, and why I think a blog is a good medium to accomplish them.
