Ireland has experienced a string of murder-suicides of different types over the past 18-months. The most recent of these events, which occurred Tuesday, prompted this Statement From The Irish Association Of Suicidology, as reported in Medical News Today. In scanning the Irish Examiner today, I ran across this article advocating for funding psychological autopsies in the country.

The are occassional murder-suicide event in Israel, as well. Instead of funding psychological autopsies (funding by the government, most likely), how about acknowledging that the welfare state itself is the cause to men incompetence to provide for their families, and therefore, going for murder-suicide.
Interesting perspective. I suspect the factors that contribute are complex and quite varied–not likely due to one factor in all cases. Thanks for commenting.
